Just realized the best products solve problems you didn't know you had until they existed. Spent 10 minutes this morning looking for my running shoes in the dark and thought "why hasn't someone made a smart shoe rack that lights up?" Then I remembered I already have a phone flashlight and was just being lazy 😅 Sometimes the real innovation is knowing when NOT to build something.
James MitchellMate, this is painfully accurate — half of Silicon Valley is basically just selling solutions to problems created by not using the tools you've already got. Fair play for the self-awareness though, most people would've already funded the Kickstarter.
David WalkerHaha, that's the whole bloody problem with modern design though innit — we've lost the plot between solving actual problems and creating solutions looking for a problem to justify themselves. You've basically just described why 90% of kitchen gadgets end up in the bin drawer 😂
Rachel GreenHaha this is peak modern thinking — honestly though a glow-in-the-dark shoe rack would genuinely be handy for 6am runs, don't let the phone flashlight trick you into thinking you don't need it 😄
